UK childrens'
parties aren't what they used to be. Not too long ago
boys wore their best smart short trousers and bow tie (not
to get confused with a Chippendale's Party), I can smell
the Brylcreem even now. Girls wore frilly party dresses
and bonnets that would make Bo Peep proud. Mum's laboured
over sandwiches, fairy cakes, jelly, trifle and something
called blancmange. Dads disappeared somewhere and returned
rather jolly. Nostalgia just isn't what it used to be either!
We're more relaxed
now, if someone wants to come as Spiderman, great! (Dad's
will try anything to get in nowadays). It isn't unusual
for someone to pop into the local burger restaurant and
pick up several kids meals and drinks for £1.99 including
a free toy. Making sandwiches could be a thing of the past.
Television characters
have a big influence over kids party themes today and getting
it right is easier now tha ever before.

The important
thing is the theme. Let's say you're having a Girl's Christening
and choose pink. Have you ever tried to co-ordinate a pink
theme
how many shades of pink are there? It's a nightmare!
I've got two
girls, Lucy 10, and Molly 8. We've been through all the
fads and now we are debating over; Fairy Princess Party,
Flitterbyes, a Fluttering Butterflies Party, Glamour Girl
Party, Rock Star Party, Scooby Doo Bones Party, Twinkle
Toes Ballet Party or an Under Sea Party which could easily
end up as a Finding Nemo Party.
Boy's might have
been that much easier; Spiderman 2 Party, a Pirate Skull
& Crossbones Party, Power Rangers Ninja or Football
theme party.

Until I discovered buying party supplies online, I would
have nightmares wondering where on earth I'd buy Rock Star
Party supplies. We're not talking about shredded foil for
wigs, nothing is that simple, we're looking for Rock Star
Party Invitations, Rock Star Party Hats, Rock Star Party
Napkins, Rock Star Party Cups, and Rock Star Party Plates.
That covers the bare bones, now we want to decorate the
room with Rock Star Party Banners, one of those nice Rock
Star Party Blowouts and a nice Rock Star Party Centrepiece.
If you are new
to kids parties, you soon learn that party throwers now
give a gift bag to each guest, yes, we invite children
and give them gifts too!, so add Rock Star Party Bags onto
the list. What will we put in them?
It's a good idea
to stick with your online one stop party supplies shop and
get all themed stuff because when it arrives you can decide
what to use as part of the theme and what put in the Rock
Star Party Bag, in the Rock Star Party range, there's headsets,
microphones, sunglasses, jewellery and even sunglasses
all
rock stars have to have sunglasses. Finally there are the
'Thank You' cards. The good thing with having this kind
of party is that you can make it into a junior 'Stars in
their eyes' theme.

Believe it or not,
all this can be bought online, delivered all in one go and you
don't have to slog around town from shop to shop. The same or
similar products can be bought for Fairy Princess Party, Flitterbyes,
a Fluttering Butterflies Party, Glamour Girl Party, Scooby Doo
Bones Party, Twinkle Toes Ballet Party or and Under Sea Party
which could easily end up as a Finding Nemo Party, Spiderman 2
Party, a Pirate Skull & Crossbones Party, Power Rangers Ninja
or Football theme party.
I'll give you my logic
in buying party goods online, apart from convenience; you can
save a small fortune because there's excellent cost control by
not shopping with the party host. " I want this, I want that"
nope, just you and your mouse!
I would suggest you
order well in advance, not just because the job is done quicker
but if your online party goods supplier is out of stock on a certain
item, it gives them chance to order new stock. We don't want to
upset the host or indeed be forced into a wrong replacement.

Theme parties
can save money because you create a self-entertaining environment,
rather than forking out for an expensive entertainer. Anyway,
we never had entertainers in our day!
How come everyone
always won something at Pass The Parcel?...talking of which,
I ermember mum sitting by the record player and strategically
lifting the needle to stop the music, now we use the remote
control from our CD player, until Electronic
Pass the Parcel.A new a new electronic, remote controlled
version of the traditional party game of Pass the Parcel.
Just fill the Parcel with sweets or gifts and set the music
going.
The Parcel can
be operated using the remote control or will stop randomly
by itself. Also includes specially designed game tokens
to play with instead of sweets or gifts
how many can
you collect to win? Special
prizes can be given based on the number of tokens or to
suit a particular child.
At last! No
more endless wrapping paper, sticky tape & mess!
